You’ve planned the perfect Vegas Girls Night Out with a limo tour of the Las Vegas strip, a photo op at the Las Vegas Sign, seeing the hot Aussies of Thunder from Down Under & a night out at a club. But have you planned for the day after the fun? You know the dreaded hangover. It’s the one thing almost all of us forget to plan for, but it doesn’t have to be.
Here are some tips to getting you out of the hangover haze and ready for another Vegas day.
1 – HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE!
Most of us have heard the rule: “Drink one glass of water for every alcoholic drink.” But, let’s be real when having a good time at the club chugging down drinks, we aren’t always thinking about H2O as a chaser. According to WomensHealthMag.com, alcohol sucks your organs dry of liquid, so the first thing to do when you wake up after a night of drinking is to rehydrate by drinking at least 8oz of water or drinking an electrolyte rich beverage like coconut water. This will help you get out of the haze and start feeling normal again.
2 – Take Aspirin
While your rehydrating your body, take an Aspirin. It will not only help that headache but it also has anti-inflammatory properties. It will help take some of the redness out of your face and help de-puff your eyes. Make sure to remember to pack a few Aspirin in your bag.
3 – De-Puff Your Eyes
Also, think about packing a few tea green or black tea bags. If you decide water just isn’t cutting it, make yourself a cup of black or green tea, but don’t throw out the tea bags. Once you’re done drinking the tea, use the tea bags on your eyes to help combat those puffy eyes. The caffeine in the tea will work to de-puff your eyes while antioxidants in the tea leaves will reduce swelling and tighten the skin. You can also just dampen the tea bags without having to drink the tea.
4 – Apply Moisturizer
After a night of drinking your skin will also need a pick me up. Bustle.com suggests adding some life back into your face with a concentrated moisturizer. Think about packing one that will plump up your skin to create a dewy, glowing look. Don’t forget to make sure it also has SPF so you’re protected from the Vegas sun.
5 – Bright Eyes
Your skin isn’t the only thing that may make you look tired. Bloodshot eyes are a clear sign that you’ve been out all night. Combat the redness by packing some eye drops.
6 – Feeling Sick?
Remember when your mom gave you crackers or plain white toast when you were feeling sick as a kid? This is a good rule of thumb if you’d spent the night over tossing your cookies. While no food will stop the rollercoaster ride in your stomach, eating some white bread or saltine crackers, it will bring your blood sugar levels back up to balance out all the alcohol you consumed the night before.
7 – Vegas Hangover Secret
Our last tip and trick for curing a hangover while you’re in Vegas is to check out one of the many IV Hangover specialists. That’s right, they hook you up to an IV and WHALA your hangover is cured! These IVs usually consist of a bag of saline infused with electrolytes to rehydrate, as well as B & C vitamins. You can also get your choice of IV nausea medication or IV headache medicine. Some of these places also have non-IV treatments. The best part is many of these clinics will come to you, so you don’t even have to leave your room feeling awful. But this cure doesn’t come cheap, treatments can run you anywhere from $150 to $400+.
